HP 4600/4650 Postscript Driver
For best printing effort, we recommend the HP 4600/4600 user to use the latest Postcript. This section will help you in the download of the software to your computer and start you on the install process.
Downloading
- Click on your correct model number from the list below. It will open in a new tab or window.
- Select the appropriate languages and operating system, then your correct driver will appear in the dropdown.
- When prompted for a security warning window saying do you want to run or save this file? Click run to proceed.
- Select a directory to unzip and save the file in and click unzip.

Installation
Before proceeding with the software installation, the printer must first be properly set up, and your computer must be ready to print.
- Open the Printers Window (Click Start-Settings-Printers).
- Right click on the printer and select Properties from the pop menu.
- On the Advanced tab, select New Driver.
- Click on the Warning Box that pops up.
- A printer listing box will appear. Select Have Disk.
- Another box Install from Disk appears.
- Click the Browse to locate the expanded files directory (i.e., c:\clj4650).
- Click on the file ending with .inf.
- Click Open and then Okay and let files install.
Setting
- Open the Printers Window (Click Start-Settings-Printers).
- Right click on the printer and select Properties from the pop menu.
- On the Advanced tab, select HP C Laserjet 4500-PS from the drivers dropdown menu and click Apply.
- Click the Printer Default.
- On the layout tab, select Advanced, select 300dpi for Graphic.
- On the printer feature, select labels for media, glossy for Print Finish.
- On Color Management, select Halftone for device settings and set to 6″ × 6″.
